No. Firewood is available in the sauna, and we prefer that you use the wood provided.
Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Otherwise, we follow a simple rule: Don’t bother others, be kind and friendly — and apart from that, you can (almost) do as you like.

If no one has been there earlier the same day, it takes about 40 minutes from lighting the fire until the sauna is warm. We do our best to heat it in advance, but we are not always able to. Please wait until it is at least 60°C before pouring water on the stove.
Drop-in costs 180 NOK per person for 2 hours.
Private booking for up to 10 people costs 1,000 NOK for 2 hours.
For drop-in sessions, we have limited it to 8 spots. There is enough room for 10 people who know each other well, so for private bookings, the maximum number is set to 10.
Yes, it’s possible to splash around in the river. It’s probably best at high tide, but you can still get wet at low tide as well. Buckets are available by the river if you’d like to use them for a refreshing rinse.
See the tide chart for Trondheim here: Tide Chart Trondheim.
You can walk across the field along the church fence and continue down to the sauna. Alternatively, you can walk below the houses at Naustgjerdet and follow the river down to the sauna.
We do not recommend combining alcohol and sauna use. We ask that you limit yourself to a maximum of two units. Please avoid drinks that may stain the wood, such as red wine or similar. This only applies to private bookings. Alcohol is not permitted during drop-in sessions.
